Hi,
My 66 plate Q2 Tdi battery is dying and i want to replace it.
Can I just go ahead and swap it over with a new one or do I need to code the ecu?
I would be most grateful for any advice.
is your car under warranty? weird it should fail after 3/4yrs. Mine was replaced at 2.5yrs as there is a faulty batch of batteries in the Audi range, specifically the MLA MOLL batteries. Google it. Should come up....
You need to code it in unfortunately, and its a pain to do.
The car needs to know its a new one so it adjusts its charging
I'm onto my second battery now, first was the MLA Moll one which died, second was a Varta warranty replacement which also died and now onto a new Yuasa one.
I suspect the battery's aren't big enough for the 2.0TDI
Thank you, everyone, I will speak to audi but its not under warranty.
